Zoomed shot below.

Lord's Rake, Scafell showing the straightness of the fault line right through to the final ascent at the far side. Note the fallen pillar at the top of the first ascent which is causing a major safety hazard since it's collapse last year and more recent rock-fall in December this year.

Visit accident black-spots for more info.

National Park are repairing the tracks up to Mickledore on Scafell Pike.  They are obviously following EC rulings and ensuring the general public are well informed of the impending hazard of men at work.  This day was slightly unsuitable for pathwork
An unusual photo of Scafell Pike taken from the air by David Binks whilst out flying with his wife Tracey (Millom FSRT) in their paragliders.

Do you recognise the summit cairn?  Always littered with fellwalkers. The bottom of Little Narrowcove is top right, bathed in sunshine.  Photos were taken late August and they managed to use the thermals to rise to 4,500 feet.
